Waffle cones are simply irresistible, especially after a long, stressful day at work. And when the sun is shining, nothing beats ice cream. A cold and sweet delicacy in this situation will be appreciated by everyone, and this applies not only to humans.
Police dogs from the Fisher Police Department’s K9 Unit are regularly rewarded with treats and little surprises for their outstanding detective work, but this particular four-foot-tall boy was delighted when his human partner took him to an ice cream shop.
After a long and sunny day, Handel’s ice cream and yogurt shop in Fishers, Indiana, was more than happy to give this brave four-foot animal a well-deserved treat.
When one of the ice cream shop employees noticed the dog, they decided to make a small and cold vanilla treat just for him. Even though the counter was a little high for a dog, he wasn’t going to let that get in the way. The four-foot dog hopped around to imagine his treat on the counter.
He put his paws right on the counter and the delicious ice cream cone was gone in the blink of an eye. The dog must have been hungry because he ate the ice cream in seconds. While this K9 puppy was getting his treat, there were a lot of passers-by who couldn’t help but smile seeing how happy this puppy got what he really wanted.
Luckily another officer caught the whole thing on video and it’s absolutely amazing.
We always remember to thank the brave men and women in uniform for their service, but the four-legged officers of K9 also deserve our attention and admiration.
