The dog was adopted and returned four times but everything ended well.
Bandit is a disabled dog in a wheelchair living in Georgia, USA.
He was to spend the rest of his life under the protection of the Gwinnett Jail Dogs program. The dog was adopted and returned four times.
He is a very friendly and sweet pet, but because he was in a wheelchair, people couldn’t take care of him and take care of him properly.
And every time Bandit was fired and returned to the shelter. The staff of this program wanted the cute dog to find his eternal family, so that he could finally live happily there.
It already seemed that there would never be a loving family that could give him the care that such a dog needs.
Husband and wife Darrell and Sue Ryder read a Facebook post that dog Bandit is looking for a caring family.
After learning about the history of the dog, the couple decided to adopt him without fear of difficulties, since Darrell himself was in a wheelchair.
“The important thing is that Bandit and I have the same type of paralysis and we are both in wheelchairs,” said Dodo Darrell Ryder, Bandit’s adoptive father.
“My wife and I know what it’s like to live in a wheelchair, we know Bandit’s needs. We also discovered a much stronger connection between us.
After considering what adopting Bandit would mean, the couple contacted the Gwinnett Jail Dogs program. They learned everything there was to know about caring for a new furry friend.
For a whole month, both sides pondered this decision in order to make the right decision final. And, finally, the couple went for the first time to get acquainted with the dog.
Gwinnett Jail Dogs volunteer Laurie Cronin told The Dodo: “Darrell said that Bandit looks a lot like him and the couple wanted to give him a life of care and happiness”.
