Their skin was really pink and their mother was nowhere to be seen.
Eventually, on his way to work, the man found 6 tiny pets looking for help. He had no idea what kind of animals they were, but they huddled together in the logs of their own accord.
Their skin was really pink, their mother was nowhere to be seen, and, fortunately, the man took the pets to the shelter for help.
When the six packs arrived at the Sylacauga Animal Sanctuary, Alabama, the staff set to work to help the little ones.
Nicole Zaguroli of Secondly City Canine Rescue (SCCR), a non-profit rescue organization in Illinois, told The Dodo: “They were so smelly that shelter staff had to wear masks to bathe them. They had scabies, they were emaciated and cold.”
After all, the pets were young puppies that the staff thought might be Cocker Spaniel crosses. Jackie Cobb, President of SCCR, knew she had to help when she saw the puppies on social media.
They were taken to Auburn Veterinary University where they received immediate medical attention. The issue at present has been which breed to list in their online advertisements.
Meanwhile, the puppies were distributed to various shelters.
Slowly, the white fur began to complement the once damaged skin. DNA analysis carried out on the dogs showed that they belonged to Fantastic Pyrenean Dogs!
Fortunately, the dogs have expanded and grown into healthy adult pets. Their foster families are preparing for each of the once-tiny dogs to tip the scales by over 100 extra pounds each.
Happy life to each of these wonderful dogs!
