There is hardly anyone who doesn’t know this man who is best-remembered for his appearance on «Today» show. The weatherman was absent for a relatively long time which failed to go unnoticed. His absence was conditioned by a near-fatal heath scare that he experienced.
It happened at the end of the previous year and was caused by blood clots in his lungs. It has been just recently that Roker got in touch with his fans on Twitter in order to inform them about his current condition admitting being sent to hospital with a blood clot in the leg.
He revealed his cancer diagnosis and underwent operation two years prior to his sudden health decline. What is more, he has had multiple operations. For those who don’t know, his career started in the 1970s.
All the viewers of «Today» were quick to shower him with lots of good wishes hoping to see him fully recovered in the near future. Among the concerned ones were H. Koth, D. Dreyer and C. Melvin who sent prayers.
It is worth mentioning that his biggest supporter has always been his wife, D. Roberts. She in her turn expressed gratitude to everyone who wished him a quick recovery and patience.
