Jennifer Lopez Shares Emotional Throwback Video as Emme and Max Celebrate 18

Midnight snow. Two newborns. A life changed forever. Jennifer Lopez took to social media to honor a major milestone, celebrating as her twins, Emme Muñiz and Maximilian David Muñiz, officially turned 18 and stepped into adulthood.

To mark the moment, the 56-year-old star shared a heartfelt video montage filled with intimate family memories. The clip moves from the earliest days — including tender hospital moments just after their birth — to more recent scenes capturing quiet family time.

In her caption, Lopez reflected on the night they were born in New York during what she described as the most powerful and beautiful snowfall the city had seen.

“You were born in the middle of the night, during the strongest and most beautiful snowfall New York had ever seen. It was as if God made sure you entered a world full of pure magic,” she wrote.

She described holding them for the first time as if she were embracing “two angels sent from heaven,” adding that her life changed forever in that instant. She also included personal messages to each child, calling Emme “my sunshine” and telling Max he is “amazing just the way you are.”

Among the twins, Emme has been more publicly visible over the years. They appeared beside Lopez during the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show and later went on to release a children’s book, while continuing to pursue their passion for music. Max, by contrast, has largely stayed out of the spotlight. In 2022, he made a small acting appearance in his mother’s film Marry Me, but otherwise keeps a low profile. Lopez has previously shared that both are now attending college.

Jennifer Lopez gave birth to her twins in 2008 during her marriage to singer Marc Anthony. The couple divorced in 2014 after ten years of marriage, though Anthony remains actively involved in his children’s lives. It was recently reported that he is preparing to become a father for the eighth time.

Before and after her marriage to Anthony, Lopez’s personal life often made headlines — from her past relationship with Sean Combs to her 2022 marriage to Ben Affleck, whom she divorced in January 2025 less than three years later.

But this week, the focus wasn’t on past relationships.

It was on motherhood. On snow. On 18 years.
