Katie Holmes’ New Romance Has People Talking — But She Isn’t Bothered by Their Age Gap

Katie Holmes appears to have found a new man in her life, and once again, he happens to be younger. The 47-year-old actress has been romantically linked to New York artist Jason Bard Yarmosky, who is reportedly around nine years her junior.

The two have reportedly been seeing each other since the summer. Their connection appears to be rooted partly in creativity, something that has long attracted Holmes. Yarmosky’s career as an artist seemingly fits naturally with the actress’ own interest in creative people and new experiences.

Since romance rumors began circulating, Holmes and Yarmosky have been spotted together several times around New York. From shopping trips in Manhattan to appearances at events, their outings have only fueled speculation that the relationship is becoming increasingly serious.

Naturally, their age difference has attracted attention, but those close to Holmes suggest it isn’t something she considers particularly important. One source claimed that Yarmosky’s younger age simply hasn’t been a factor between them and described him as someone whose calm personality makes Holmes feel comfortable.

For now, however, the couple reportedly isn’t rushing into major relationship milestones. They are said to be taking things slowly and have apparently not yet introduced one another to their families, including Holmes’ 20-year-old daughter, Suri Noelle.

Yarmosky isn’t the first younger man Holmes has dated. She was previously linked to chef Emilio Vitolo Jr. and later dated musician Bobby Wooten III, who is also roughly a decade younger than her. Before those romances, Holmes spent several years with Jamie Foxx, who is older than she is.

Holmes has rarely discussed the age differences in her relationships publicly, but she has spoken about becoming more fearless following her highly publicized divorce from Tom Cruise in 2012. She previously explained that she no longer wanted to impose too many rules on herself or take herself overly seriously.

Judging by her latest outings, that philosophy may still be guiding her. Whatever outsiders make of the nine-year difference, Holmes appears far more interested in enjoying the relationship than worrying about the number attached to it.
