She was born in 1922 in Vancouver, Canada and her early years were marked by struggles and obstacles. A little girl was heartlessly abandoned by her father and was raised by her single mother in modest living conditions. Her passion for acting blossomed quite early.
Believe it or not, De Carlo started to write her own plays still as a teenager. Soon, she pursued a career in Hollywood and earned fame and reputation through her movie roles. Her unearthly charm and down-to-earth approach led her to have no equals.
She married stuntman «Bob» Morgan. Unfortunately, a tragic accident happened during the filming of «How the West Was Won» when Morgan got a serious injury which threw a shadow over their marriage and caused financial troubles.
The 1997’s passing of her son was another devastating event which led her to stop acting and seek healing and recovery. It was in 2007 that she passed away leaving the world in tears and sorrow.
