That connection began at home, thanks largely to her father, Viktor Knavs. Melania spoke about those memories during a live appearance at the IndyCar Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, August 23, explaining that he was the person who first introduced her to the excitement of racing.
Her childhood exposure went beyond simply watching competitions. Cars were a familiar part of family life, and her father’s enthusiasm helped shape her own curiosity about different vehicles and the world surrounding them.
Speaking with Fox Sports commentator Jamie Little, Melania recalled being introduced to both races and race cars at an early age. She also revealed that her father had assembled an impressive collection of automobiles over the years.
