My bathroom continues to give me pleasure, despite criticism from my mother or friend who thinks my design choices are tacky. They tell me: «It will be difficult to sell an apartment with such an interior!» However, I am absolutely calm about this. In my opinion, there will definitely be a person who will appreciate the design of this tile.
Let’s take a little virtual tour of my bathroom. Previously, I was somewhat hesitant to show only some elements, fearing possible comments from readers about «mold on the tiles»․ But in my bathroom there are absolutely no signs of mold, only a unique design is presented here.
However, the pattern on «white» tiles does create the illusion of age, dirt, or spattering. Hooks with the image of beetles, of course, are not suitable for people suffering from arachnophobia, the fear of spiders. In modern times such decorative elements are rare.
As well as a wooden cabinet with a mirror from IKEA and a shower corner from the Czech brand RAVAK above the sink, which decorates the bathroom. The shower corner, represented by two tiles and the rest of the glass, gave the room a special charm. In general, I prefer to minimize the use of glass and plastic parts, as over time they lose their original appearance.
The toilet is standard, the renovation was carried out on a limited budget. But I insisted that the entire bathroom be tiled.
We previously lived in an apartment using paint in the bathroom but it turned out to be a bad choice as everything started to peel. It only looked attractive immediately after renovation in photographs. We have a Haier washing machine installed. This is a quality product from China, and we are not disappointed, even if European equipment is not available.
We decided to install pine doors in our new apartment. I’ll explain why we chose the country style for the doors in the interior design. The doors are made of pine and oiled. For three years nothing happened to them. For the new apartment, we decided to take similar doors, despite the fact that their price had doubled.
The front wall is decorated with tiles, which I especially liked. I understood why they evoke such warm feelings; my grandmother in the village had a stove decorated with something similar. This probably subconsciously influenced my choice.
This tile is from a collection similar to the previous one – look in the gallery. Unfortunately, it has also already been discontinued. The design of the new apartment will be more calm. Even though the renovation isn’t finished yet, I’m almost getting the impression that this isn’t something I like…
I still love this tile bathroom. I don’t know why, but it still brings me satisfaction, despite the indignation of my friends.
