Serena Williams Turns Heads With Her Stunning New Figure and Says She’s Never Felt More Beautiful

Serena Williams, now 43, has spoken candidly about her experience with weight loss. Long rumored to be using Ozempic, the tennis legend confirmed that she has in fact been taking a similar treatment — a prescription injection designed to help regulate weight. Thanks to it, she says she has shed around 14 kilograms.

Her struggles with extra weight began back in 2017, after the birth of her first daughter, Olympia. Despite years of strict diets and constant training, Williams admitted that she couldn’t reach the results she wanted. “I was literally on the court every single day. My whole life I was a super athlete, constantly competing, always healthy, but no matter what I did, I just couldn’t get back to where I needed to be,” she explained.

After welcoming her second daughter, Adira, in 2023, Williams once again focused on her fitness. At first, the process went smoothly, but eventually her weight plateaued. That was when she decided to try a stronger version of the well-known injection, prescribed under medical supervision.

The results left her delighted. Serena even shared her experience on social media, saying: “I feel lighter in spirit, I feel sexier, and I feel more confident.” Despite the treatment, she still sticks to a disciplined diet and maintains an active lifestyle, noting that no injection can replace the hard work behind her toned body. “I’ve been vegan, vegetarian, and now I’m somewhere in between. I don’t eat much meat, but I eat plenty of beans for protein. And yes — I love carbs,” she admitted with a laugh.

For Williams, speaking openly about her decision was about more than herself. She said she wanted other mothers to know they shouldn’t feel ashamed if they choose an alternative method to lose weight after pregnancy. “People call it lazy, saying if you work hard enough you don’t need it. But that’s not true. Sometimes you need help, and that’s okay. Your story is your story. I made my choice, and I’m proud of it.”

In recent years, medications like this have become extremely popular among celebrities looking to slim down. Many stars have been rumored to use them, while some have openly acknowledged it. Williams’ honesty adds her name to the growing list of those breaking the stigma around seeking medical support in weight management.
