“She’s Amazing”: Robert De Niro Gets Emotional Talking About His Baby Daughter at 80

Robert De Niro is celebrating the arrival of a new baby into his life at the age of 80! The famous actor recently opened up in an interview about his deep connection with his youngest child, 9-month-old Gia. She is his seventh child, and he says being a dad again has changed everything.

Despite his age, De Niro says the experience of raising a baby again is magical. “It’s hard to describe how happy she makes me feel,” he shared, holding back tears. “She’s just incredible.” The actor spoke with warmth about how his daughter has brought peace and happiness into his life.

He continued: “The way she looks at you, takes everything in, thinks and watches… It’s beautiful. Who knows how things will be when she’s older, but I want to be around as much as I can. I want to enjoy every moment with her.”

Little Gia Virginia Chen De Niro was born on April 6, 2023. Her mother is Tiffany Chen. The two met back in 2015. In 2021, they were seen vacationing together in the south of France, confirming their relationship.

At that time, he was still entangled in the legal aspects of ending his marriage to Grace Hightower. By April 2022, a judge ordered him to pay her $1 million per year, and the former couple agreed to divide the earnings from the sale of their shared property.

Gia is De Niro’s seventh child. He shares two children, Drena and Rafael, with his first wife. With Grace Hightower, he has two more: Elliot and Helen. He also has twin sons from a past relationship.

According to De Niro, Gia wasn’t a surprise. He and Tiffany had talked about having a child together and were fully on board. “You don’t leave something this big to chance,” he said with a laugh.

When asked about what it’s like being a father at this age, he simply replied, “I’m okay with it. I’m not complaining.” And when someone asked if parenting gets easier as the years go by, De Niro chuckled and answered honestly: “It never gets easier.”
