Emily Blunt usually keeps her two daughters firmly out of the spotlight, making their latest family appearance particularly unusual. The 43-year-old actress stepped out with husband John Krasinski and their daughters, Hazel and Violet, for a rare public outing.
The family of four attended the US Open in New York on Sunday, September 13. Sitting together inside Arthur Ashe Stadium, they watched Alexander Zverev take on Ben Shelton in a closely fought match that ultimately ended with Zverev claiming victory.
But plenty of attention was also focused on the Hollywood couple’s daughters, who are now noticeably grown up. Hazel is 12, while her younger sister Violet is 10. Violet appears to be looking increasingly like her famous mother, while Hazel bears a striking resemblance to her dad.

Emily and John have deliberately protected their children’s privacy despite their own high-profile careers. The couple met in 2008 and tied the knot in July 2010 during a romantic ceremony at Lake Como. They later welcomed Hazel and Violet.

Their daughters may eventually follow them into Hollywood. Emily recently revealed that both girls have shown an interest in acting, although she admitted her instinct would be to tell them not to pursue it because the industry can be difficult and filled with disappointment.

The actress also spoke about the deeply personal nature of being judged for your appearance in Hollywood. Still, she described Hazel and Violet as resilient and already accustomed to the unusual reality of growing up with two famous parents.
Whether Hazel and Violet eventually pursue acting remains to be seen. For now, their exceptionally rare outing with their parents offered a glimpse at just how much Emily and John’s daughters have grown.
