Born back in 1984 in the outskirts of London, she was raised in a large family growing up with seven brothers. Since her early ages, her beauty, intelligence and kind-heartedness set her apart. Initially, she was an ordinary woman married to Thomas Bevan with whom she hadwelcomed four children.
She started to show the first signs of acromegaly at the age of 32 which resulted in unbearable headaches and major changes in facial features. The poor woman started to look more masculine and unattractive as a woman. Her husband had passed away and she had to deal with all the difficulties all alone. In order to make the ends meet, she had no choice but to perform in circuses to earn money.
More and more circuses started to offer her jobs in the entertainment industry. At that time people had already started to call her «the world’s ugliest woman». Believe it or not, she earned $800 000 overall. It was in 1933 that she left this world at the age of 59 leaving a forever mark in history.
