Here is the case of Fred and his nine ducklings, whom he adopted.
Our family members are people who, for the most part, are directly related to us.
On the other hand, those who find themselves in a less fortunate situation may have to rethink their idea of the family. As is the case with Fred and his nine ducklings, whom he adopted!
Mountfitchet Castle in Stansted, Essex is home to the 10 year old Laboratory.
Fred shares his home with his parents, Joe and Jeremy Goldsmith, and many rescued animals. As a result, Fred was like an older brother to animals that had been through a lot.
That is, until Fred demonstrated that one day he, too, could become a mother. The castle workers took in nine ducklings, who wandered around the castle in search of their mother.
Their mother must have been the victim of a fox, and the locals assumed that the ducklings would suffer the same fate. However, they never imagined that Fred and the ducklings would have such a wonderful bond.
Fred took the ducklings under his paw shortly after they were introduced to him. And he not only takes care of them, but also swims with them every day in the moat of the castle.
The ducklings now consider the dog their father thanks to his generous heart. They follow him everywhere and even sleep with him.
This story should teach us all something.
Fred, his ducklings, and all the other rescued creatures living in Mountfitchet Castle are an example of how a real family is built on true love and compassion, not on blood ties or belonging to the same species.
