Fortunately, thanks to this fisherman, the fawn came out of the water safe and sound.
Many animals love to swim. But sometimes their favorite pastime can turn into a tragedy, because no one knows when the currents will get stronger.
The incident happened in Dorset, England, where fisherman Mark Bowditch noticed something unusual in the sea.
At first he thought the mammal was a shark swimming ashore. But when he approached, he saw that the animal had two ears. The strange thing was a deer that was struggling to get to shore.
Soon Mark was planning how to rescue the exhausted fawn with the help of the people on board. When they finally caught the deer, Mark realized he could never leave the deer drowning in the sea.
The rescued fawn on the ship was named Bambi.
The animal was uninjured, but its body was extremely emaciated. Once on land, the reindeer recharged and thanked the people who saved it.
A small child laid his head on Mark. The man hugged the fawn and let it enjoy its safety on land.
How fortunate that Mark and his friends saw the little baby and came to the rescue in time!
