Every day he digs tunnels in sandstones and decorates with various patterns.
A 67-year-old resident of New Mexico Ra Paulette creates amazing caves manually.
Every day, with the help of a shovel, picks and carts, he grows huge tunnels and caves in sandstones, which then decorates with various patterns.
Thanks to the perseverance and skill, Ra Paulette was able to achieve incredible results. Huge caves at the end of the work turn into picturesque rooms.
Ra Paulette receives very symbolic money for his work.
In an interview, Paulette admitted that he was doing this exclusively for entertainment. Every minute spent inside the future “museum” means much more for him than the award received.
Ra Paulette has already created 14 caves and is currently working on the 15th.
Paulette says that his last cave will be the largest of his works. He has been working on the walls of his last creation for more than 10 years, and it has not yet been completed.
«For me, this place should be special», says Ra Paulette.
After the first successful work on Ra Paulette, orders began to arrive. However, he refused them all, since he was not ready to follow the instructions of customers.
«In this matter, you still need inspiration», says Paulette.
Ra himself, by the way, is quite known outside his homeland. The film «Cave digger» was even shot about him, which in 2013 was nominated for an Oscar.
