Dave for hours eagerly looking for a ring in different places anywhere.
Back in 1968, Dave Radley received a gold ring from his mother on his 21st birthday.
But Dave’s joy was short -lived – soon, collecting strawberries in his native village, he lost his precious ring.
Dave for hours eagerly looking for a ring on strawberry beds. But everything is in vain: Radley never found.
However, after 54 years, a miracle occurred. Dave was called by his friend Peter Lovett, the current owner of the site where strawberries once grew up. Peter found a ring using a metal detector.
The ring lay in the ground at a depth of 7 inches, but at the same time it was well preserved – there was only one scratch on it.
The ring has not changed, which cannot be said about its owner”, Radley jokes. She was no longer the size of his finger, as she became too small for him. Therefore, Dave had to take the jewelry for alteration.
Dave says that despite the fact that his family in those years was not very wealthy, his mother was more upset not because of the loss of the ring, but because of his reaction.
“When Peter called me and told me about the discovery, I could not believe it – the joy that I experienced at that moment is indescribable,” Mr. Radley shares his emotions.
