The owner of the chicken coop was shocked to see that a huge snake perched on one of the chickens – but it turned out that these two have a long friendship! The chicken is not at all against such a neighborhood.

Texas resident Sarah Ellison, while vacationing on her family’s farm, checked out the chicken coop and was shocked to see the scene. A huge snake nestled around one of the chickens and seemed to feel at home.

Even more amazing was that the chicken was completely calm.

It turned out that this is not the first appearance of a snake in a chicken coop. But snakes have never interacted so closely with other animals.

Sarah’s parents are well aware of the wild rat snake, which plays an important role in keeping the coop quiet. She lives in a wrecked car near the chicken coop and occasionally appears inside to steal one chicken egg for herself.

Instead, the snake drives away predators and potential pests that could threaten chickens and chicks. The family is already accustomed to such mutual assistance – Sarah’s father even calls the snake “buddy”.

“She never tried to harm the hens or their chicks. We are not against this snake, because it helps to scare away rodents in the chicken coop”, the farmers say.

Following the example of a feathered woman, she decided to leave the snake alone – and, checking again, found that the snake had already crawled away.

Perhaps the snake just decided to bask in a warm chicken dwelling. In any case, some kind of connection between a chicken and a snake seems incredible – but it turns out!
