This wonderful and clever dog stayed with the missing boy until the rescue team arrived

Five-year-old Jose and his mother Jasmine took a Saturday afternoon nap in Texas.

On a cold day, nothing beats an afternoon nap. However, when Jasmine woke up shortly afterwards, she knew almost immediately that something was wrong.

José’s mother discovered that her baby was missing shortly after waking up.

After a frantic search of their house from top to bottom, she realized that the only logical explanation was that José woke up, got out and left.

So he, without hesitation, turned to the Houston Police Department for help. After all, who knows how far Jose has gone astray? Or if someone could take it. It turns out that Jose was not completely alone.

His best friend was always by his side.

For any mother of a missing child, this would be a terrifying situation, but not only is Jose 5 years old, he also has Down syndrome.

Fortunately, this horrific situation ended happily and the search lasted only a few minutes.

Witnesses saw Jose and his German Shepherd, Alejandro, roam the railroad tracks about half a mile from their home about half an hour after Jasmine called.
