Though around 30 years have passed since the release of this classic movie, it still captivates large audiences. The viewers will never get tired of the incredible story of Johnny and Baby which will never get old. As the filmmakers admit, they couldn’t even imagine that it would gain such big success and popularity.

The great cultural influence it had couldn’t be overestimated.  Not everyone knows that initially Sh. Stone and J. Parker tried out for the role of Baby, but Grey became the one who was lucky to cast in the original movie. What concerns the character of Johnny, it was V. Kilmer who was initially believed to portray him.

Grey admitted that on the set there was a special connection between her and Swayze. He constantly made jokes on her and she often got insulted. Not once did she share that she could no more endure his words, but later he came to her, looked into her eyes and said «I love you, I love you, and I’m truly sorry».

Now, she has regrets and wishes that she could accept him instead of trying to change him. While recalling the prominent actor, she describes him as a protective and strong person who was committed to his work.

While having $6 million budget, the movie, believe it or not, made over $200 million. There are some attempts to recreate the movie, but people keep claiming that no one can ever replace the main actor.
