The great talent, superb acting and charisma of this comic actor have brought him universal acclaim and recognition. The world got to know him after his appearance in «The Fisher King» and «Good Morning», Vietnam for which he received Academy Award nominations for Best Actor. It was his role in «Good Will Hunting» that brought him the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.
However, as the popular proverb runs, life is not a bed of roses, and this relates to celebrities too. He had long been struggling with alcohol addiction which he widely discussed in the interview with Diane Sawyer. His life came to an end in 2014 when he decided to end his life at the age of 53.
During his final dinner with Connelly he said «Believe me, I love you» which the man thought was his own way to say goodbye. He described the comedian this way.
«He soared like a rocket-ship, his career was extraordinary. He truly was the best ever».
Few knew that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and had depression in the final years which brought one of the darkest pages in his life. It stands to reason that no matter how much time passes, his name will always be in the hearts of his loyal fans.
On that very day, his body was found breathless shortly after he responded to an emergency call.
