Blaze, a German Shepherd mix, was adopted by Robin Wagner in 2019.

From the first consultations, the veterinarians knew that he had a degenerative eye disease.

Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened. Blaze went completely blind in October 2020. After 2 months, he had to have his eye removed.

Blindness has had a profound effect on the dog’s mental health. Blaise was restless and nervous. “We had to work hard with caregivers to help him regain his confidence,” says his owner.

His meeting with a cat named Satin became a salvation for dogs. However, the cohabitation was far from obvious at first, as Blaze would often inadvertently stomp on the feline.
