‘Gilligan’s Island’ Star Tina Louise Has a Stunning 55-Year-Old Daughter — See What Caprice Crane Looks Like Today

Tina Louise became one of Hollywood’s most unforgettable beauties during the 1950s and 1960s, captivating audiences with her glamorous appearance and her iconic role in “Gilligan’s Island.” But the actress isn’t the only striking woman in her family. Her only daughter, Caprice Crane, is now 55, and her appearance has attracted plenty of admiration over the years.

Caprice was born in November 1970 during Tina’s brief marriage to radio and television personality Les Crane. Although she doesn’t look exactly like her famous mother, she has inherited plenty of distinctive features. With dark brown hair, striking green-blue eyes, strong eyebrows and sharply defined facial features, Caprice has developed a beauty all her own. Unlike her mother’s signature auburn hair, which wasn’t Tina’s natural shade, Caprice has embraced a darker look.

Photographs shared on social media have repeatedly drawn compliments from admirers. One picture from 2020 particularly highlighted Caprice’s appearance, prompting a follower to tell her that she radiated her mother’s beauty. Caprice herself has also celebrated her parents’ good looks, frequently sharing nostalgic photographs of Tina and Les during their younger years.

In November 2023, she posted a throwback image of her parents and affectionately asked how cute they had been together. Then, in April 2026, she shared another photograph from their 1966 wedding, once again admiring their appearance. The pictures offered a glimpse into the glamorous Hollywood family in which Caprice grew up.

Despite having the looks and connections to pursue acting or modeling, Caprice ultimately chose a different direction. She built a successful career as a screenwriter, television writer and novelist, working behind the scenes rather than seeking the same spotlight as her mother. Her credits include writing for the reboots of “90210” and “Melrose Place,” while earlier in her career she worked on projects for MTV and VH1. She has also written five books.

Interestingly, Caprice once imagined becoming an actress herself. Growing up in Los Angeles surrounded by famous families made the entertainment industry seem like an ordinary career path. She recalled spending time around the children of celebrities such as Tony Bennett, Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner, explaining that appearing on television seemed almost like a natural part of adulthood. Eventually, however, she discovered that writing was a better fit for her talents.

Motherhood later inspired another unexpected chapter. After welcoming boy-girl twins in October 2017, Caprice developed an interest in children’s fashion. During the Hollywood writers’ strike in 2023, she launched her own clothing business, Royal Orchard Clothing. She has explained that screenwriting and fashion design have more in common than people might expect: both involve creating vivid images, expressing emotions and telling stories, whether through words or through colors, fabrics and patterns.

Today, Caprice has established herself as a writer, entrepreneur and mother while maintaining a connection to her famous family’s history. And although Tina Louise remains one of television’s most recognizable beauties, her daughter has certainly inherited some of that star quality — even while choosing to build a life and career on her own terms.
