24-year-old Rumeysa Gelgi from Turkey entered the Guinness Book of Records and officially became the tallest woman in the world. Her height is 215.16 centimeters.
Rumeysa has Weaver syndrome, a genetic disorder that, among other things, causes rapid growth. The girl mostly uses a wheelchair, but can walk with the help of a walker.
This is already the second record for Rumeysa: in 2014, the Guinness Book of Records named her the tallest teenager in the world. Since then, she has been an advocate for people with rare diseases. «Any disadvantage can be turned into an advantage, so accept yourself for who you are, realize your potential and give it your all», says Rumeysa.
