When North West steps out, subtle isn’t the goal.
The 12-year-old spent Valentine’s Day weekend in New York City with her closest friends — and they made sure every head in SoHo turned. The group was photographed shopping in coordinated edgy looks, each wearing bold neon wigs while hopping between some of the city’s most exclusive stores.
North chose a bright blue wig, pairing it with an all-black ensemble that leaned heavily into statement accessories. She wore a graphic tee, baggy pants, furry boots, skull gloves, and a chunky metal chain with a skull pendant. A spiked headband pulled the entire look together, giving it a dramatic, punk-inspired edge.

Her friends mirrored the vibe — black outfits topped with eye-catching neon wigs — forming a coordinated crew that was impossible to miss.
The group stopped by the Alexander Wang store, where designer Alexander Wang himself was spotted guiding North and her friends through the space. At one point, he showed her a black studded purse, which she held up and examined closely.
Private security accompanied the group as they laughed and moved through SoHo’s popular shopping spots, clearly enjoying the weekend.

North continues to carve out her own space in entertainment. As the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, she has already appeared on several of her father’s tracks and recently featured in a holiday campaign for SKIMS. Reports this week revealed that Kardashian filed a trademark for the name “NOR11,” hinting at potential future business ventures involving her daughter.

In a recent appearance on the podcast Khloe in Wonderland, Kardashian described North as deeply creative and determined to do things her own way. She shared that at home, North can spend up to eight hours in a music studio producing and writing, and that she incorporates her daughter’s songwriting into her spelling exercises to keep learning connected to passion.

At just 12, North is already blending fashion, music, and business — and judging by that neon wig moment, she has no intention of blending into the background.
