Approaching eighty, McCartney continues to experiment with his appearance. Known for his bold style choices throughout his career, he surprised fans by trying out a fresh hairstyle while on holiday. The Beatles were famous not only for their music but also for their trendsetting haircuts, and McCartney kept his hair long for much of his life. Naming it McCartney III not only tied it back to his past but also gave him clarity about the creative direction he wanted to pursue.
