The tragic news about this actor’s passing literally left everyone speechless. The British actor, best-remembered for his role in «A Room with a View», went mountain climbing in California’s Mount Baldy and soon his disappearance was declared.
For a long time, rescue workers were looking for him, yet had to stop because of hazardous weather. However, helicopters and drones were still working. As is known, the remains of his body were eventually found in the wilderness by hikers.
The manner is still under investigation, pending the results of additional tests. The movies mentioned above in which he brilliantly played was one of the 100 greatest British ones.
It deservedly received three Academy Awards. Sands also participated in the Oscar-winning film «The Killing Fields» in the prime of his career.
