No glam squad. No red carpet lighting. Just skin. Scarlett Johansson reminded everyone that she doesn’t need a smoky eye or a bold lip to steal attention. The actress recently appeared bare-faced on social media, showing off her glowing complexion while sharing a key step in her skincare routine.
On February 16, Johansson made a rare appearance on the Instagram page of her beauty brand, The Outset, posing in a close-up shot while applying the brand’s Purifying Blue Clay Mask.

Her blonde hair was pulled back neatly, diamond studs and rings adding just a touch of sparkle. With no visible makeup, her natural skin took center stage as she dabbed a streak of blue clay across her cheek and glanced over her shoulder toward the camera.
The moment wasn’t the first time she’s embraced a stripped-down look recently.

On February 3, she gave fans a candid look at her beauty routine, posting a video of herself seated in a glam chair, a white robe draped loosely off her shoulders. Describing her label’s Rescue Balm as a true all-in-one essential, Johansson said she swears by it for everything from moisturizing her lips to smoothing cuticles and taming stray hairs. The footage then showed her slicking the balm onto her lips, her hair pulled back into a polished center-part bun and paired with a sharp black blazer.
Although she hasn’t been a regular fixture on major red carpets lately — with her most notable appearances in October at the Newport Beach Film Festival Honors and Variety’s 10 Actors to Watch — she hasn’t abandoned high-fashion moments altogether.

At an Outset event in January, Johansson refreshed the timeless black dress with a velvet slip silhouette, complete with a sweetheart neckline and delicate sheer ruffle detailing. Over the holiday season, she embraced bold glamour in a plunging chainmail-inspired gown for a celebratory photoshoot.
But this time, it wasn’t about gowns or styling.
It was about skin.
And without a single layer of foundation, Johansson proved that sometimes the boldest beauty statement is simply going bare.
