There, he portrays Rick Carlson, a 32-year-old lifeguard in Southern California who enjoys a commitment-free life of casual relationships. Occasionally, he trains a college student and weekend assistant.
Born in Sacramento, California, he was raised in Oregan. He briefly attended college and soon his passion for acting started. He was cast in Guys and Dolls. Upon his arrival in Los Angeles, he studied acting and served in the California Air National Guard at the same time. Soon, his name became recognizable after his commercials for the American Beef Council. Throughout his career, the star portrayed a wide range of characters. Interestingly enough, directors told him to be a little less south in the mouth.
