This man rescued an injured swan and visited her throughout the years.
While swans are magnificent creatures, they don’t have the best reputation when it comes to getting along with people. As well as other animals.
But once again this wonderful story shows that love and friendship know no boundaries. The man who saved the wounded swan and visited her for many years was shocked when the animal not only recognized him, but also expressed his affection and gratitude to him.
The beautiful scene was captured on film.
After visiting the Abbotsbury Swannery in Dorset, UK, American adventurer Richard Wise first encountered the friendly swan.
Richard and his team were filming the TV show Born to Explore while he was comforting a swan that was injured after crashing into a chain link fence.
A few years later, they are reunited, and the surprised swan remembers that Richard needed help in difficult times.
Throwing the swan around the neck of the man who saved her life, he embraced him.
Wiz posted the photo on Facebook. “Who needs a bear hug when you can hug a swan?”
“This magnificent swan put his arm around my neck because he trusted me. At that moment she was in pain, but she was able to give birth.
Swans are not recognized as the cutest creatures, so such cases are incredibly rare. However, as Wiese noted, animals recognize good people when they meet them.
