Nowadays, people strive for convenience and comfort even in rural areas, where they spend time in their summer cottages. Modern technologies and improvements have made it inevitable to have important elements such as water, electricity and, of course, a convenient toilet in summer cottages. These attributes have become an integral part of life outside the city.
Several years ago, when we became the owners of a summer cottage, we discovered a small barn, a summer kitchen and an extremely old toilet. The condition of the latter was so terrible that it was unpleasant to use, and we tried to avoid this place.
Recently, we decided to change the decor of our summer cottage, and the first object of renovation was the toilet. My husband decided not to limit himself to just renovating an old toilet, but to build a completely new one. In addition, he undertook high-quality interior renovations of the toilet.
Despite the fact that the toilet was left outside, its new condition fully meets my expectations. My husband took the initiative and built it from scratch using existing materials. We were able to do without additional costs for purchasing materials.
The toilet base was built using wooden planks and blocks. The roof is made of sheet metal and also painted by ourselves. The door was made from plywood and we used an old door handle. The sink cabinet was also handy in our house.
Plumbing equipment, such as a toilet and sink, were found in the garage after renovations were completed in our apartment. The husband came to the decision not to get rid of old items, but to keep them in the garage. This strategic decision turned out to be successful.
Our house already has a full bathroom, providing complete comfort in a country cottage. However, we decided to leave the outdoor toilet. It became an opportunity to do something that benefits others.
