Wonderful scenery: this unique Great Snipe manages to fly almost to the top of Mount Everest

The bird hovered more than eight kilometers, reaching a maximum altitude.

Specialists said that one of the migratory birds set a world record for birds, rising to a height of 8700 meters.

During migration, large snipers are able to reach speeds of up to 100 km/h, which allows them to cover a distance of thousands kilometers in just 2-4 days.

The scientists caught the birds by attaching small sensors weighing up to two grams to them.

However, one of the birds flew more than 8kilometers in 5 hours.

For comparison, the height of Everest is 8848 m.

They have several explanations for why these birds change their flight altitude depending on the time of day.

This is explained by the fact that large snipers try to avoid overheating during the day by flying to higher altitudes with colder air.

It is still hard to believe that this bird can reach Everest.
