If anyone doesn’t know, let’s explain for now that an ADU (accessory dwelling unit) is like an additional house next to a larger house in which the family lives. This means that this is not the main building. Today’s hero Martin Brown moved to Portland and decided to convert his garage into an ADU.
He started a family and when a baby was born into the family, his mother-in-law wanted to live closer. Then the man came up with the idea to turn the old garage into a dream home. The family renovated it and through effort and determination the result was the perfect ADU. It looks cozy and atmospheric and has everything you need for living.
The house has a fireplace, the kitchen is fully furnished and has a refrigerator, stove and sink. Hanging racks store pots, pans and plates. The bedroom has a comfortable bed. The sun’s rays always enter the house through large glass windows.
Martin did everything possible to ensure that the future cozy house would be close to the style of the 1920s. The result shows that he accomplished this task in an excellent manner.
