Born on May 1, 1945, in Lafayette, Tennessee, the future star began her journey in the arts after graduating from Florida State University. She reached the peak of her career in the 1970s and 1980s with her hit songs and appearances in «Octopussy» and «Splash». Her tracks were on Billboard magazine’s pop, country, adult contemporary, and jazz charts making her a household name.
Her marriage to famous musician K. Kristofferson deserves our special attention. Their marriage was not without controversy too being fraught with challenges and obstacles.
