Joined by his wife, Elsa Pataky, and their children, Hemsworth turned the trip into what has now become a well-established family ritual. Their annual alpine getaway returned in full force, complete with skis, friends, and plenty of adrenaline.
Elsa has been sharing moments from the vacation on social media, offering a rare inside look at their snowy escape. The real stars of the trip, however, were the couple’s kids, who confidently tackled the slopes with flips, jumps, and tricks that left followers stunned.
Clearly impressed — and slightly amused — Elsa made sure to thank the resort’s instructors for keeping things under control, jokingly referring to her children as “crazy” while expressing gratitude for the care and safety provided.
For Hemsworth and Pataky, these winter trips go beyond leisure. Similar ski holidays in January 2024 and 2025 show that the Alps have become a meaningful tradition for the family — one that blends adventure, discipline, and time together away from busy schedules.
This year’s getaway wasn’t just a family affair. Friends joined them on the slopes, turning the holiday into a lively group retreat filled with laughter, snowball fights, and nonstop runs down the mountain.
Before swapping city streets for ski lifts, the couple made a brief stop in Spain. Hemsworth traveled from Australia to Madrid to promote Escape Route, which is set for release on February 13. Elsa joined him, making the trip a chance to reconnect with her home country.
While in Madrid, they mixed work with routine. The couple visited their trusted gym, Metropolitan on Calle Abascal, where Elsa focused on strength training, pilates, and cardio. Hemsworth, meanwhile, didn’t hide his affection for Spain, openly expressing his admiration for the country and its people — a place that clearly holds special meaning for their family.
The timing of the trip also comes shortly after the couple marked 15 years of marriage. Hemsworth reflected on their relationship during a recent appearance on On Purpose with Jay Shetty, describing the foundation of their marriage as friendship and curiosity.
He explained that maintaining interest, conversation, and a willingness to keep learning about each other is essential, saying that the moment curiosity fades, that’s when problems begin. According to Hemsworth, part of a lasting partnership is accepting that you never fully stop discovering each other — or yourself.
Pataky echoed those thoughts earlier in 2025, sharing that adaptability has been key to their relationship. She spoke about the importance of finding your way back to each other during demanding periods and staying curious, even when life pulls you in different directions.
