Timon and Pumbaa are the names given to this couple by rescuers.
“Animals are trustworthy and most of them are full of love, true to their feelings, predictable in their actions, grateful and loyal. People have to live up to high expectations.” — Montapert, Alfred Armand
When people hurt animals, it’s always heartbreaking. Unfortunately, this is more common than we think.
People who see animals being harmed, neglected or abandoned call rescue centers every day.
We may not be able to communicate with animals, but we all understand how they feel.
Everyone, especially these traumatized animals, needs a companion who will comfort them and reassure them that everything will be fine.
This is the story of Pumbaa and Timon, two friends who refuse to leave each other.
In May of this year, the Arizona Humane Society (AHS) rescued a rare pair: a chihuahua and a pig.
According to a statement provided by AHS, the owner was arrested, but the charges do not involve animal cruelty.
Fortunately, the animals were not harmed and AHS was able to save them. They took them to the vet for a preliminary examination.
A dog and a pig rarely live together or become best friends, but Timon and Pumbaa are an exception.
Imagine the joy on the faces of the AHS staff when they spotted the gorgeous couple. As a result, the piglet was named Pumbaa, and the dog Timon.
Even Timon’s position on Pumbaa’s back looks exactly the same. They are just wonderful!
