Scorsese’s new movie gets a standing ovation at Cannes🧐
“Killers of the flower moon” premiered at the film festival on Saturday and earned a nine-minute standing ovation.
The three-hour movie includes Leonardo DiCaprio in the main role and the co-editor-in-chief of Variety, Ramin Setoodeh said that the standing ovation was the longest and loudest so far during the festival this year.
The 80-year-old took the microphone and shared his thoughts on the process of making the movie. He thanked the cast as well as Apple and also revealed that it was an incredible adventure.
This movie was the 6th time that the filmmaker worked with DiCaprio.
The first teaser trailer by Apple TV+ dropped this week and gave fans a glimpse of what to expect from the movie.
The book “Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI” is the inspiration for the movie. It has a budget of 200 million dollars.
Besides Leonardo, Lily Gladstone is also in the main role.
