Liam Neeson has sparked speculation about a new romance after making an affectionate public appearance with British actress Stella Stocker. The 74-year-old actor attended the Toronto International Film Festival with Stocker, who is believed to be around 40, although her exact age has not been publicly confirmed.
The pair stepped out for the premiere of Courteney Cox’s new psychological thriller Evil Genius, but it was their behavior away from the screen that attracted attention. According to eyewitness accounts, Neeson and Stocker appeared particularly close throughout the evening.
They were reportedly seen holding hands for much of their appearance. At another point, Stocker affectionately pulled Neeson’s arm toward herself as the pair stayed close together, immediately fueling questions about whether their relationship extends beyond friendship.
There could, however, be a professional explanation for the affectionate appearance. Neeson and Stocker are preparing to appear together in the action thriller Mongoose, scheduled for release at the end of October 2026, leading some to suggest their outing could be connected to promotion for the upcoming movie. Stocker previously had smaller roles alongside Neeson in 2022’s Memory and Marlowe.
The speculation comes after Neeson was romantically linked to Pamela Anderson in 2025 while the two worked together on The Naked Gun. Their chemistry generated considerable attention at the time, but the rumored relationship did not ultimately develop into a publicly confirmed long-term romance.
Neeson has kept his personal life intensely private since the tragic death of his wife Natasha Richardson in 2009 following a skiing accident at Mont Tremblant. One of his few confirmed relationships afterward was a brief romance with British businesswoman Freya St Johnston in the early 2010s. For years afterward, the actor generally attended public events alone.
Neeson and Richardson had two sons together, both now adults. Whether his affectionate Toronto appearance with Stocker signals a genuine new chapter in his personal life remains unclear — but their hand-holding has certainly given fans something to talk about.
