Music as a Lifeline: Jelly Roll’s Journey to Overcoming Mental Health Challenges in New Documentary

Jelly Roll’s story about mental health in a new documentary is inspiring many fans🧐

The new documentary called Jelly Roll: Save Me on Hulu, tells an inside story of the musician.

He has revealed that when he came out of jail, he was going to put all his energy into creating music.

And then he added that the music is his Hail Mary.

The musician, whose real name is Jason DeFord, spent several years in jail and has been struggling with mental health.

However, he has been able to connect with his fans through his uncensored ability to present a version of his life that is genuine and honest.

He revealed that he was called “too fat” to be in the music industry and that his voice “wasn’t cool”. He said that those statements were like mountains that he had to climb.

Earlier in December, the singer performed in a sold-out concert in Bridgestone Arena as part of the “Work in Progress” tour.

Even though the singer has won numerous accolades he is not forgetting where he came from.

During a podcast with PEOPLE called Everyday podcast hosted by Janine Rubenstein back in December, the rap singer revealed that he wants to bring hope to the troubled young generation.

It will be available on Hulu on May 30th.
