“Your stove grates look hopeless? Think again” 🔥✨ A cheap kitchen mix melts away grease and burnt-on dirt like magic — and the before-and-after photos are unreal. See the step-by-step method in the article below 👇📸
A gas stove is a true kitchen essential, but the grates are constantly exposed to grease and heat, making them one of the hardest parts to keep clean. Even if yours hasn’t been scrubbed in ages, don’t rush to replace it—there’s a simple, affordable way to restore it using everyday ingredients.
You’ll need:
-
50 g of household soap
-
10 tbsp of dry mustard powder
-
2 cups of washing soda (soda ash)
-
2–3 liters of boiling water
Steps:
-
Grate the soap finely.
-
Mix in the mustard powder and washing soda.
-
Pour boiling water over the mixture and stir until dissolved.
-
Place the grate into a tub or sink and pour the solution over it, making sure it’s fully submerged.
-
Leave it to soak for 2–3 hours.
-
Scrub with a brush to remove loosened grease and residue.
For stubborn, older buildup, leave the grate in the solution overnight for best results. Cast-iron grates usually need only a couple of hours. This same method can also be used for glass lids and baking trays.
After soaking, your stove grate will look almost brand new—free from grease and grime. Best of all, this method avoids harsh chemicals, making it safe for you and eco-friendly, while still strong enough for heavy-duty cleaning.
