This woman’s name is Mazie Ford, she has already celebrated her 112th birthday and has been volunteering at a regional hospital for more than 10 years.

According to the woman, her secret to longevity lies in happiness. Mazie says that she tries to never be sad and lose her heart in life. She always wears bright blouses and always wears make-up.

The woman likes to say that she has never been seen without lipstick on her lips. Once she decided to move to Hallandale where she got married.

The woman has always been creative and when she was 100 years old she made pink butterflies from wire and beads for guests. She did all this with her own hands.

She loves needlework very much and after that when she was already tired of this work she began to knit for charity.

The woman volunteered when she was already 100 years old. She knits baby hats in the hospital. Now she knits hats every day and delivers them to the hospital.

After work, she rests at home and doesn’t leave the apartment.

Thanks to her work the woman met her best friend who also works in this hospital.

She said, «I try to choose colors that match each other. I think it’s very beautiful. And I like my work». She and her daughter always knit more than 50 hats a month but now they get a little tired and knit around 35.

«Knitting has always helped her keep her mind active. She really loves her job and volunteering also supports my mother and helps her always feel good», said the woman’s daughter.

The woman celebrated her 112th birthday in a restaurant with her loved ones.

She hopes that next year she, her daughter, her friend, and her husband will celebrate her birthday again and of course eat steak.
