There is hardly anyone who would question her identity. She is Luna Ferrer, a girl who was born with a big black spot covering nearly her whole face. Such a rare condition that she has is called nevus. Her absolutely distinctive look came as a big surprise for not only the family members, but also the medical staff.
The only solution was 80 surgeries that American scientists proposed which was unaffordable for her parents. The treatment was urgently required so one Russian surgeon rushed to give the family a hand once he was informed about the little heroine’s condition.
As a result, the family moved to Russia for the sake of their little angel and stayed there for roughly 2 years so that the doctors would perform the operations and give Luna a chance to recover and start a normal life. A number of medical procedures were carried one after another.
There was an incident when Luna and her mother were in church and one little girl got interest what was wrong with her face. Her mother told her not to communicate with her claiming that she was a «monster» and had «black energy». The woman’s answer left Luna’s mother in complete shock and despair.
